Robert O. Young, author of The pH Miracle, The pH Miracle for Diabetes, and The pH Miracle for Weight Loss, claims that health and weight control depend primarily on proper balance between an alkaline and acid environment that can be optimized by eating certain foods. Dr. Young offers educational retreats that include a private blood cell analysis and "nutritional consultation" at his 45-acre estate in Valley Center, California. Dr. Young's "credentials" include doctoral degrees in nutrition, science, and naturopathy from the American Holistic College of Nutrition. Curing the "incurable"

Dr Dan Rogers is a trained Medical Doctor and Naturopath. He has been treating patients using integrative medicine since the late 1970's. I have recently returned from the Paralympic Games held in Vancouver [the Paralympics follow the Olympics and is the comparable competitive arena for world-class disabled athletes]. While I was in Vancouver I had the pleasure of using Saladmaster pans for cooking my own meals while I was at this international competition. Your representative in Sweden, Hulda Ossurardottir, had sold my parents a set of cookware and they lent it to me to take on this trip.
I have been a gluten-free vegan for about a year and after making this transition in diet I have been staying healthy. I don’t get colds even during the times when I’m training the hardest. Crohn's Disease:
I've been med free for a year now, doing solely diet. my docs are very happy with how I am doing and so am I. I was on every drug imaginable for crohn's disease and nothing really worked for me. Nutrition did. I got my life back. I've never felt better.
Food has its most nutrient value when raw. Heat breaks down and destroys enzymes, minerals, co-factors, and vitamins. However with crohn's disease one does not do well on raw foods, especially fruits and vegetables and fibrous foods. Because of this most people with crohn's become malnourished because they eschew fruits and vegetables since it aggravates the disease and increases symptoms. Thus they gravitate towards easy to digest foods, like grains and processed/refined foods and sugars, but these only perpetuate the disease and exacerbate the malnutrition problem. This is where cooking is most valuable as it breaks down the fiber matrix, making foods easier to digest. However at high temps you destroy your food, making a fine line to walk. Saladmaster® lets you cook your food low temp and it maintains the bulk of the nutrient value, especially compared to "normally" cooked food, such as the grill or oven, which is done at 400 F plus. The water is not lost from vegetables as it is in steaming, which leaches nutrients from vegetables. So you are able to retain the bulk of the nutritional value of your food while at the same time making it easier to digest. Also I have found I can cook things faster with Saladmaster® than my normal cookware. 1 cup of raw, hard beans now take 45 min instead of 4-5 hours. 1 chicken breast is done in like 12 min, not 20 min. It is easier to clean too - soak it in water and basically every thing comes out. You can cook oil-less which is fantastic. The stuff is very versatile too and it cooks itself - you don't have to hover over the pot while something is cooking and constantly check and stir, thus making the daunting task of cooking and it being time consuming a myth. With this cookware you are also not exposed to chemicals, like the non-stick stuff, which Dupont has just finally admitted does cause cancer, they knew about it and covered it up, and will be phasing it out by 2015. Yes it is expensive, but it is an investment in your health, one that is worth making. If you are going to skimp on health insurance, then you need to have something like Saladmaster® to back you up. Health and nutrition has become a passion of mine and I was looking for a low temp cookware for a while. I did my research and knew what I wanted. Saladmaster® had everything I was looking for.

I wanted to let you know if you need a testimonial--I can and will. You know I fried everything--even zucchini. Since I have been using Saladmaster I have lost 15 lbs and my chosleterol is 180 82 and 83 good/bad respectively. My blood pressure is between 115/72 to 118/83 vs before I started using Saladmaster it was 146/95 give or take a couple of points depending on the day. This has changed my life, we eat veggies now--Mark is working on it--I can hide them in meatloaf, taco meat and hamburgers-I shred brussell sprouts in the meat.
Thank you again--I am sure I can get the print out to show before and after. I just got my labs done a few weeks ago. Also I have been drinking lemon/water almost very morning--I love that.
